Facilities

The main hall is light and airy, an excellent venue for weddings, children's, and adults parties, wakes, fundraising events and other large functions.  Regular groups include, badminton, short mat bowls, bridge club, table tennis, yoga, dance clubs, a regular lunch group and monthly market.


The hall can accommodate up to 220 people, venue prices from £11 per hour.

A bar can be set up, although prior notice and a licence will need to be applied for prior to the sale of alcohol.

To make a booking

For bookings and enquiries please use the 'Contact' button below, stating your name, contact details, the date, time and purpose of hire. 
We will contact you as soon as possible to confirm price and availability. 
We may require a refundable deposit to cover damages and any excessive cleaning required after an event; this deposit will be returned as quickly as possible once the hall has been left clean and tidy. 

Once availability is confirmed please complete the appropriate Hire Agreement forms linked below, in order to secure your booking. Once complete, these forms can be emailed or delivered to the address stated on the hirer agreement. We will hold the booking temporarily until these documents are received.

Please also review the Hirer information, Standard Terms & Conditions and the floor plan to ensure the venue, and its capabilities and limitations meet your requirements.

Unfortunately our insurers do not allow the use of any inflatables/Bouncy Castles.

Policies regarding Safeguarding, Health & Safety, Equal Opportunities, and Environmental considerations can be found under the Policies tab at the top of this website.

 A fully charged mobile phone is advised in case of emergency. Hirers are responsible for  identifying the emergency exits from the building and remaining accountable for all members of their group until emergency services attend. There is a First Aid box in the kitchen and the external meeting point is on the Western side of the car park (Behind No:1 Melbury Row)


Price list

Blake Room

Perfect for meetings and smaller groups, the Blake room can be hired on its own or as part of the hall. When hiring as part of the whole building the Blake room can be used as a waiting room, bar, cloak room or changing room amongst other things. Prices from £6 per hour.

Award of Hallmark Certification

Following an intensive inspection conducted by external auditors in 2023,Hallmark 1, 2 and 3 Certification has been renewed. The 3 levels of certification cover the following areas:


Hallmark 1, charitable administration and management – assessing whether the hall is complying with the requirements of its charitable status.


Hallmark 2, health, safety, security and licences – assessing compliance with legislative issues.


Hallmark 3, community, social awareness, forward planning and development – examining and assessing the role of the hall in the community and how it interacts with its users and the wider community.
